A television newsroom employee learned she was a $266 million lottery winner while she was on a graveyard shift at KNBC television.
But while many would have handed in their resignation letter, grabbed their belongings and marched out the door after finding out they were the newest Mega Millions lottery winner, Jacki Cisneros stayed at her desk and continued to work.
And the new multi-millionaire, who can now afford a new house, a new car, a new wardrobe and whatever else tickles her fancy, plans to continue to work for as long as possible despite her windfall.
“I can’t imagine not working. It’s a foreign concept to me,” she said.
Jacki’s husband, Gilbert, had just been laid off from his job when the welcome surprise came.
