Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie has signed a deal rumoured to be worth $10 million to star as the new face of Louis Vuitton.
The advertising campaign, which would be the 35-year-old’s highest-paying commercial endorsement to date, would see her follow in the footsteps of Madonna and Jennifer Lopez as the French luxury brand’s spokesmodel.
According to reports, the print-only campaign will be shot by celebrity photographer Annie Leibowitz, who will shoot the campaign within the next two weeks.
The images would then be released later this Northern summer.
Though Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt are parents to six children, three of which are adopted, she remains busy with both acting work and philanthropic commitments.
Her most recent acting credits include Salt and The Tourist, while her next project, Cleopatra, is in pre-production.
A United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, Jolie also unveiled a jewellery line, The Style of Jolie, in collaboration with jewellery designer Robert Procop earlier this month.
Profits from the line will go to the charity Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which benefits children who are victims of national conflict.
Jolie ranked seventh on Forbes’ highest-paid actresses list last year with an estimated $20 million in earnings, though she is believed to give as much as one third of her annual income to charity.View Comments
