A 100-year-old Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost has become the world’s most expensive Rolls-Royce ever sold at auction after fetching almost £5 million.
The Rolls-Royce, described as “one of the finest ever built”, manages 15 miles to the gallon and is capable of a “cruising” speed of 60mph, according to The Telegraph.

German police chiefs made a bit of a miscalculation when they invested $33 million on a new fleet of pursuit vehicles – only to find their police officers couldn’t fit into them.
Police officers found the seats in the Opel Insignia Sports Tourers were too narrow for them when wearing belts carrying their guns, batons and other equipment, according to The Local.

A Chinese farmer has taken time out of tending to cattle and crops to create a special kind of vehicle – a car powered entirely by wind, which he claims can reach speeds of around 140mph.
Tang Zhengping, from Beijing, spent three months creating the unique vehicle, at 1 metre tall and 3 metres in length, the Metro reported.

Set to be officially unveiled at the Tan Expo International Funeral and Cemetery Exhibition in Bologna, Italy later this week, the car stretches a total of 276-inches (23-feet) in length, three feet longer than even the extended wheelbase version of the Phantom, AutoGuide reported.

Fifty teams rolled out their box carts ranging from giant eyeballs and Japanese WWII fighter jets to the batmobile in Tokyo’s annual Red Bull box cart race, in the hope of winning 1 million yen.
Amid the pouring rain, the contestants pushed, pulled and pedalled their box carts around a 250-metre-long course riddled with obstacles and jumps that they had to navigate within three minutes, The Telegraph reported.
