Twi-hard fans had better get their diaries handy, because they certainly won’t want to miss the two biggest dates on their Twilight calendar – the premiere of Eclipse and the release date of Breaking Dawn.
The red carpet premiere of the long-awaited third instalment of the Twilight saga, Eclipse, is set for June 24 at the Nokia Theatre as part of the Los Angeles Film Festival.
While the festival is open to the public, the exclusive screening is by invitation only. However, fans can still purchase tickets to the festival in the hope of catching a glimpse of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner – only the famous Twilight trio are sure to be shrouded in tight security.
Festival passes go on sale May 10 on the LA Film Festival website, and tickets for individual screenings go on sale June 1. According to the LA Times, “Only those festivalgoers who purchase one of the festival’s top-level passes — which range in cost from $500 to $1,000 — will get inside the Nokia Theatre on June 24.”
And to all those Twi-hards out there who can’t make it to LA in time for the premiere, fret not. Even though Eclipse won’t be released in cinemas for almost two months, many cinemas are offering special midnight preview screenings of the film, so check in with your local cinema early to get your hands on the hottest film tickets of the year.
And there’s another date fans of the vampire romance saga won’t want to miss. The fourth film instalment, Breaking Dawn, directed by Bill Condon, is set for release on November 18, 2011.
There is still no word on if Breaking Dawn will be the final flick or if there will be a second round from Stephenie Meyer’s dense novel.
