It is an essential activity for the celebrity and entertainment machine to talk up their accomplishments at the end of the year, and that is why we see so many Top Lists congratulating how beautiful, talented and influential their most popular representatives are.

And while there is certainly merit to pointing out the best actors, singers, thinkers and more, there is also a bunch of people who many of you love to hate, or just plainly hate. Who are at the top of our Un-hottest list? Find out here.

Kim Kardashian

While people may vote for Jersey Shore’s Snooki, we think the real evil queen of the entertainment industry is Kim Kardashian. Somehow she has parlayed a ‘stolen’ sextape into a multi-million dollar career based on a reality show, club and event appearances, useless books and lots of – for a lack of a better term – junk. And without the ability to sing, dance, act, or say anything of intelligence, we just don’t know why people are so fascinated with her. But hopefully her bad behavior with her sham wedding will open some people’s eyes to her utter worthlessness.

Brett Ratner

We often revere our most visionary directors, and sometimes even forgive their dictatorial ways in order to enjoy their flawless movies. But then there are directors like this guy – Brett Rater – who makes millions of dollars making mediocre films while also acting like a total scumbag. After mentioning an actress / former girlfriend Olivia Munn in an unflattering way in public, she retaliated with a story that would make you never look at Shrimp Cocktail in the same way again. You may not have thought twice about him before, but there’s no way you can’t look at him now and not want to roll your eyes.

Charlie Sheen

Sorry Charlie, though you may be full of magical panther elixir or coconut blood (or whatever you said), you are on this list for continuing your rapid descent into inanity (though not insanity quite yet) and obscurity.  We are especially ashamed because you actually are such a great actor, and your overall intelligence does shine through more often than not. But it seems the Hollywood serpent, and its fast lifestyle, easy women and cavalcade of drugs, has taken hold forever.  At this point, we’re just hoping you don’t die in the next few years.

Lindsay Lohan

As Charlie Sheen’s female counterpart, Lindsay has done a whole ‘slow burn’ implosion that is finally beginning to overshadow Britney Spears style breakdowns and Sienna Miller-esque scandals. She had so much promise when she was a kid, and maybe it was all the pampering and partying when she was younger that did her in. Now she’s more famous for her court appearances, stints in rehab, and she even topped off this year with a pictorial in Playboy. Once a bright star, she’s now cementing her reputation as a cautionary tale.

Oprah Winfrey

She was a legend. People fell at her feet. Crowds burst into tears when she gave out expensive ‘gifts’. But now that her show has ended, her eponymous cable channel is not pulling in the ratings numbers it promised, her magazine is unreadable, and she is off the daily radar, boy is she Un-Hot.  In fact, of all the people in the list, she has probably gotten the coldest, almost as though she was at the top of her game and just suddenly decided to retire to a cabin the middle of nowhere. Actually, that’s a good idea – Ms. Oprah, we hear Siberia is pretty nice this time of the year.

A common misconception is that A-list movie stars are simply ‘discovered’ overnight.  In reality, these guys and gals usually toil for years, auditioning for terrible bit parts and taking any shameless gig to pay the bills.

You’d be surprised about how many of the Hollywood elite appeared in commercials prior to getting their big break. And then we wonder what is must have been like for the advertisers, producers, directors and crew to watch these nobodies become some of the biggest stars in the world. Keanu Reeves

Before ‘woah’, there was… oh, who are we kidding. Keanu is all about the ‘woah’. Just watch him in this commercial for Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, where he is setting a table for what seems to be a few dozen people for a massive cereal feast. There’s some debate whether it takes place in Hogwarts, and the basic premise is indeed ridiculous, but the look on his place as he surreptitiously takes a bite is truly worth the 30-second journey. Nom nom nom.

Benicio del Toro (and bonus)

Benicio del Toro is one tough guy, and he has done very little in his career to negate that image. That is, unless you see this Calvin Klein ad where he blends in beautifully with all of the over-the-top sensuality associated with the ‘Obsession’ brand. The bonus? Well, if you don’t recognize the girl, Heather Graham, then you should feel ashamed. But the real bonus is that the director of this commercial was David Lynch. Makes being in a commercial like this less embarrassing, no?

Jodie Foster

A lot of people already know that Jodie’s been acting since she was a little kid, and perhaps even know that her first appearance ever was in this Coppertone commercial. After a couple of decades of being a professional, it’s no wonder that she seems to be able to sip into roles with relative ease, and have two Oscars to show for it too. This is one of those classic ads that remind us how a famous person can be part of our public conscious for such a long time.

John Travolta

OK, so this clip is a mash up of two commercials that Mr. Grease did early on in his career – one for Band-Aid and the for Safe Guard soap. But the fact that they both take place in a shower is hilarious, and we wonder how it informs the actor’s trajectory as well as all of the ‘rumors’ we tend to hear about his favorite personal pastimes.  At the very least, it’s nice to see some old-fashioned singing and complete lack of respect for reality.

Bruce Willis

Another star who has never hidden his love of singing is good ol’ Bruce. And this is not a bad debut for someone who fancies himself as the musical sort, which he continued to try to show off in the box office failures like ‘Hudson Hawk’. Filmed before he was even a major actor in TV, it is amazing to see advertisers put so much faith put into his charisma and performance. Then again, Seagram’s Golden Wine Coolers don’t exist anymore, do they?

Michael J. Fox

Remember when commercials told a story instead of listed all of the possible, life threatening side effects? We don’t either. That’s why finding this old McDonalds ad with Michael J. Fox is such a treat. It’s a sappy, sentimental ad, but demands you to watch the scene between pubescent teens unfold like some important life-changing event. It’s hard to deny Fox’s likability here though.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

OK, so this one is kind of a cheat, but we had to include it for kicks. While Arnold wasn’t in commercials prior to becoming an actor, he was not shy about appearing in Japanese commercials for big wads of cash after his career was at its peak. We can’t explain what is going on in this one, but isn’t it refreshing to experience an ad in this way? Watch, enjoy, and try to interpret it for yourself!

Kim Kardashian has left her new hubby Kris Humphries behind in the US to fly to Dubai to unveil the world’s most expensive milkshake.

The reality star attended the Millions of Milkshakes store opening at The Dubai Mall today, where she unveiled her own “Kim Shake”, which is reportedly the most expensive milkshake in the world.

She touched down in Dubai on Wednesday and attended a press conference for the milkshake at the Atlantis Palms hotel with her mother Kris Jenner.

“We forgot where we were, we could have been at home,” she said at the press conference.

“There are so many similarities between Dubai and the States.

“I asked my sisters if we could start a hotel chain here.

“There are so many things we could do. I’d love to build it from the ground and design all the rooms.”

Kim hasn’t stopped raving about Dubai via her Twitter account since she arrived.

“Just touched down in Dubai! I’m so happy to be here!” she wrote in one tweet.

“Wow I’m in such awe over Dubai!” she said in another. “My hotel is so, insane, can’t wait to do some blogs and show u guys! Too much to tweet! I’m obsessed with Dubai!”

The world’s most expensive milkshake – the “Kim Shake” – consists of strawberries, bananas, and pineapple.

Welsh gardener Ian Neale has been thrown into the celebrity limelight after American rap star Snoop Dogg appeared on YouTube to pay tribute to his world record-breaking swede.

Snoop posted the 34-second video ahead of his upcoming European tour to congratulate 68-year-old Neale on his 38.8kg rutabaga – a type of yellow turnip known in Britain as a “swede”.

In the video, the rapper – who’s well-known for his love and advocacy of cannabis – wears a Cardiff City football shirt with cannabis plants in the background, and sends a “shout out” to Neale.

“What up? Shout out to my homeboy Ian Neale in Cardiff for breaking the world’s record for the biggest vegetable,” he says in the video.

“Man, I want to tell you something, when I do my show in Cardiff, I want you to come backstage and see me because I do vegetation myself and I want to know your secret so I can show you my vegetables and see if you can grow that into a real big vegetable.

“So Ian Neale from Cardiff, come see your boy Snoop Dogg, I’ve got two tickets for you when I get to town. Ya dig?”

But Mr Neale said he would not be taking up Snoop’s generous offer.

“I’ve never heard of him… I’m a Country and Western man myself,” he told Sky News.

Neale has previously grown a 23.4kg beetroot and celery that weighed in at 23.6kg, The Argus reported.

Snoop is due to play Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on Saturday on a UK tour promoting his eleventh studio album, Doggumentary.

Holly Madison, American model and former girlfriend of Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner, has insured her breasts for an eye-popping $1 million.

Insurers Lloyd’s of London have granted the 31-year-old’s request for insurance coverage of her breasts in case anything happens to them, according to Metro.

Madison previously worked at American restaurant chain Hooters which led to her being invited to move in to the Playboy Mansion. As part of Hooters’ 25th anniversary, she was named among the top Hooters girls of all-time.

She has spoken openly to the media about her cosmetic surgeries, having reportedly had both a rhinoplasty and breast augmentation, which brought her bust measurements up from an A-cup to a D.

Madison is currently preparing to appear in a Las Vegas production of Peepshow, a burlesque show at the Planet Hollywood Resort.

She said in a recent interview with People magazine:

“I’ve heard about people getting body parts insured and I thought, why not? Because if anything happened to my boobs, I’d be out for a few months and I’d probably be out a million dollars.

“I think it’s kind of funny. I think they’re getting the credit they deserve. They’re my primary money makers right now.”

Other celebrities who have reportedly insured parts of their body include supermodel Hedi Klum, whose legs were valued at £1.5 million.

Spanish Formula One driver Fernando Alonso insured his thumbs for a total £9 million last year, while Jennifer Lopez has insured her bottom, valuing it at £18 million.

Mr Bean star Rowan Atkinson has been released from hospital after injuring himself in an accident in his McLaren F1.

He is believed to have lost control of the £650,000 supercar when it swiveled off the road and hit a tree before catching fire.

The 56-year-old walked away from the wreckage and was looked after by another motorist until emergency services arrived at the scene.

An ambulance took him to a hospital in Cambridgeshire, UK, and he was suffering from a minor shoulder injury, according to reports.

A spokeswoman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews brought the fire under control by 8.13pm. They made the vehicle safe and used one hose reel to put out the fire.

“There was one casualty but he was not trapped.”

A spokesman for PBJ & JBJ Management, which represents Atkinson, confirmed the star had been involved in an accident but said he would not be commenting at this stage.

Mr Atkinson is renowned for his love of fast cars and recently recorded the fastest lap time in Top Gear’s Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

He told presenter Jeremy Clarkson he was keen on racing and was currently driving a 1964 Ford Falcon.

In a clip from the show, Atkinson said people would “assume that in the reasonably priced car I will be very good when there’s absolutely no guarantee of that whatsoever”.

Still, the actor clocked up the fastest-ever time on the show, completing the circuit in 1 minute 42.2 seconds.

The crash happened last Thursday in Haddon, UK, and no other vehicle was involved.

The McLaren F1 is one of the fastest production cars in the world and has a top speed of 230mph.

A Spanish collector plans to auction what he claims is a rare sex tape of Marilyn Monroe shot when she was still an underage actress known as Norma Jean Baker.

According to The Telegraph, Spanish collector Mikel Barsa wants at least $500,000 for the sexually explicit six-and-a-half-minute, black-and-white film.

The film was shot sometime before 1947, before she turned 21, he claims.

Some have expressed doubts about the identity of the woman in the video being that of Marilyn Monroe.

“That’s not Marilyn,” said Monroe memorabilia collector Scott Fortner. “The chin is not the same, the lips are not the same, the teeth are not the same.”

“The Marilyn that everybody recognises is not the Marilyn seen [in this film] because she underwent a great transformation,” Mr Barsa said.

“People with romantic notions have denied that it’s Marilyn Monroe, and have invented stories to raise doubts about the film,” he added. “This film shows the real Marilyn Monroe.”

But despite the controversy surrounding its authenticity, the film is not the only copy in existence, nor is it the first pornographic film attributed to the actress.

A 15-minute, 16mm film, reportedly shot in the 1950s and said to show the blonde bombshell engaged in oral sex with a unidentified man sold for $1.5 million in 2008.

Mr Barsa said his 8mm film was identical to a 16mm reel discovered more than a decade ago and sold to a collector for $1.2 million in 1997. He explained that in the 1940s, sex films were often made using side-by-side 16mm and 8mm cameras, since audiences used both formats.

The Spaniard has refused to identify the owner of the films who approached him to help sell them, but said he planned to auction the unverified film on August 7 at a memorabilia collectors fair in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Monroe died of a sleeping pill overdose in 1962, at age 36.

Recently engaged reality TV star Kim Kardashian has “always dreamed of a big wedding”, and now with preparations for her big day, insiders say Kim’s wedding will cost a cool $10 million.

“Kim goes big,” her sister Khloe said.

“I joke, and I say it will be like the royal wedding because she is just like that.”

But according to some of Kim’s friends, the day really could end up being that extravagant.

“It’s actually not that much of a joke,” a friend said.

“Kim is seriously determined to have a royal-type extravaganza.”

Another long-time friend of the star added: “Money is no object when it comes to walking down the aisle.”

The wedding is rumoured to take place on Halloween this year.

So move over Prince William and Kate Middleton – Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries appear to be gearing up for what will be the wedding of the year.

Recently engaged couple Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have decided to sign a prenuptial agreement before they tie the knot.

Reality TV star Kardashian and basketballer Humphries are reportedly penning a deal to have all the financial details of their relationship in place before they start planning their wedding.

Both Kardashian, 30, and Humphries, 36, are telling friends, “It’s the smart thing to do”, according to celebrity news website TMZ.

The news doesn’t come as much of a surprise – the couple both have pretty substantial incomes.

Kardashian is reportedly worth $35 million from her various endorsement deals, reality TV shows, clothing lines and fragrance collections.

Humphries reportedly makes $3.2 million a year with NBA side the New Jersey Nets and he owns a couple of burger restaurants with his family in Minnesota. He is said to be worth approximately $8 million.

Kardashian’s late father, famed O.J. Simpson attorney Robert Kardashian, told her about the importance of contracts, and she feels her dad would have wanted her to take financial precautions.

Better safe than sorry, right?

The Kardashians are pretty well-known for being over the top – and here’s yet another example of that.

On Wednesday, news emerged that Kim Kardashian and basketballer Kris Humphries are engaged. Well, Humphries sure must’ve liked what he saw in Kardashian, because it has been revealed that he put a $2 million ring on it.

According to celebrity news website TMZ, Kardashian’s engagement ring is “worth almost half as much as her Beverly Hills mansion”.

Lorraine Schwartz, a long-time friend of the Kardashians, designed the ring, which features a 16.5 carat emerald-cut white diamond flanked by two 2-carat trapezoids, for a total of 20.5 carats.

Kardashian shared her joy with her new engagement ring with People.

“In high school I went to Macy’s and bought this fake ring, my ‘perfect’ ring, and this is almost the exact same,” she said.

“It’s the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It’s perfect.”

Kardashian added she wanted something that would be “her own,” distinct from sister Khloe’s $850,000, radiant-cut ring.

Humphries had a simple request when approaching Schwartz with what kind of engagement ring he wanted for his sweetheart.

“I just knew I wanted it to be big!” he told People.
