Leonardo DiCaprio was the highest-grossing Hollywood actor in 2010 according to Forbes – raking in a massive $1.1 billion at the global box office.
The 36-year-old actor’s huge earnings in 2010 were attributed to the fact that two of his films, Inception and Shutter Island, were among the 15 highest-earning movies at the global box office, with Inception managing to rank third with $825 million in earnings.

Poison singer Bret Michaels proposed to his on-and-off girlfriend of 16 years, Kristi Gibson, on Monday night during the finale of his reality TV show, Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It.
Gibson accepted Michaels’ proposal – the news no doubt bringing him much joy and relief having suffered a near-fatal brain hemorrhage back in April.

The 21-year-old and his Harry Potter co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint featured in the top four on the list, which was compiled by Heat magazine.

Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey is not only one of the highest-paid celebrities and one of the most powerful women in the world, but she has also topped a list of the most charitable celebrities – giving away over $40 million to charity in 2009 alone.
The list was compiled by The Giving Back Fund, a group that seeks to encourage philanthropy.

Transformers star Josh Duhamel was escorted off a plane on Thursday after he refused to switch off his BlackBerry.
The 38-year-old was on a flight from New York to Kentucky when, before take-off, a flight attendant asked him to switch off his BlackBerry, which he refused to do.

Miley Cyrus kicked off her 18th birthday celebrations early with a celebrity-studded party at L.A. nightclub Trousdale on Sunday.

After months of speculation, singer Mariah Carey has finally confirmed she is expecting her first child.
“Yes, we are pregnant, it’s true,” Carey, 41, said on the US Today show on Thursday.
“It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy, and that was not easy.”
Husband Nick Cannon, 30, joined the interview to talk about the “absolutely emotional” news, adding, “The greatest gift on earth is a child.”
Carey, who also told of her miscarriage two years ago, would not reveal her due date. She would only say “it’s still early” and “expecting is great.”
Ever-supportive Cannon said of the loss, “It strengthened our relationship so much … she handled it so well.”

British comedian Russell Brand has married US singer Katy Perry in a private ceremony in northern India.
The ceremony took place at the Aman-e-Khas luxury resort outside the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary – one of northern India’s largest sanctuaries.
