Lady Gaga topped the awards list at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2011 in Belfast yesterday, picking up a total of four awards, including the top prize for Best Video.
The pop star won awards for Best Song, Best Video, Best Female and Biggest Fans at the ceremony in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast.

A video of a group of children aged between eight and 10 performing Metallica’s hit Enter Sandman has gone viral, attracting over a million YouTube views in less than a week.
The group, who go by the stage name Mini Band, consists of eight-year-olds Kieran Fell, Harry Jackson, Zoe Thomson and Harrison Read on lead vocals and ten-year-olds Charlie Emmons on drums and Archie Zolotuhin on bass.

A song by a 13-year-old American teenager – dubbed as ‘the worst song ever’ – has gone viral on YouTube, attracting over 30 million views.
The pop song called Friday is sung by Rebecca Black and was uploaded to YouTube last month by Ark Music Factory, a Los Angeles-based company that was hired by the girl’s parents to produce the song for their daughter.

US actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays a country singer in the country drama film Country Strong, has just signed a deal with Atlantic Records to record her debut album.
The deal is worth $900,000 and will see her debut album released later this year.

Country trio Lady Antebellum led the winner’s pack at this year’s Grammy Awards, winning a total of five awards, including song of the year and record of the year for their hit Need You Now, at Sunday night’s awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
In what was a night full of surprises, rapper Eminem, who had the most Grammy nominations leading into the biggest night on the music calendar, walked away with just two awards from 10 nominations.

His family said he died at home peacefully yesterday morning with his daughter Martha at his side.
