Jennifer Aniston has now joined the ranks of other celebrities – such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Kylie Minogue, Beyoncé Knowles and, even more recently, Bruce Willis – by putting her name to her very own fragrance.
The 41-year-old actress said she had been working on her new fragrance – Lolavie – for more than a year.
“It’s been a year-and-a-half journey. I’d been asked to do things before, and it never felt organic,” she said on the set of her new film Just Go With It.
“But when Leon [Falic, president of the Falic Fashion Group] approached me to be involved with the process from inception to fruition, I thought, ‘This could be a creative expression.’ And it’s turned out to be an extension of myself as opposed to slapping my name on something.”
When asked about the unusual name of the fragrance, Aniston remained secretive: ”It’s a long story and honestly it’s too personal to tell,” she said.
“But it has special significance.”
Aniston described the new fragrance as a “non-perfume perfume” and added that it won’t be a strong, overpowering scent.
Lolavie will be launched exclusively at Harrods in June 2010 and will go on sale for £30 for 50ml.
