John Travolta and Kelly Preston expecting baby boy

Kelly Preston and John Travolta are having a son, Preston’s rep confirmed to People magazine.

On August 8, the couple celebrated their happy news with around 40 close friends at a baby shower held at their Los Angeles-area home.

This joyful period in the couple’s lives marks continued healing for Preston, 47, and Travolta, 56, whose son Jett suffered a fatal seizure at age 16 in January 2009.

“This baby is such a healing baby,” says a family friend.

The couple’s new arrival will join big sister Ella Bleu, 10.
