Las Vegas Palms Casino Resort set for USD50m upgrade

The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas is planning a $50 million upgrade to “re-energise” its celebrity pull factor, according to the Associated Press.

Commencing in July 2012, all 428 rooms and suites in the original Palms Tower will be renovated to reflect a “sensual and edgy” design, casino resort president Joseph Magliarditi stated.

Mr Magliarditi added the rooms and suites should be available by September, with other upgrade projects completed by the end of the year.

“Palms is changing in a major way and will push the boundaries of the ultimate Las Vegas experience,” Mr Magliarditi said.

Magliarditi revealed the casino resort also planned to add 250 new slot machines, refurbish its Center Bar and include “new, distinctive nightlife experiences”.

The 30-storey high Palms Tower, which opened in November 2001, attracts a host of celebrities. A second tower opened in 2008.

The hotel has hosted MTV’s Video Music Awards, Real World: Las Vegas, Bravo’s Celebrity Poker Showdown and E!’s Girls Next Door.

The Palm casino resort of Las Vegas is most popular casino resort of US. With this major upgrade, I guess it might be able to attract more visitors.
