Among some of the quirky attempts to set new Guinness World Records were a gathering of 57 people in Canary Wharf, London, who crammed into a large pair of bright pink underpants to break the record for the most people in a pair of pants.

A bathtub made from a rare material has sold for a whopping £1 million to become the world’s most expensive bathtub.
The extravagant bath, called Le Grand Queen, is carved from a rare gemstone called Caijou, which is believed to have healing properties.

A photograph of the Rhine by German artist Andreas Gursky has been sold for $4.3 million at Christie’s New York to become the world’s most expensive photo.
The Rhein II, a glass-mounted panoramic colour print, was created in 1999 and is one of an edition of six works.

‘Dancing Shoplifter’ Anthony DiVietro has been found and arrested after CCTV video footage of him went viral on YouTube.
DiVietro, 26, walked into a Kmart store in New Jersey and was seen on CCTV footage dancing as he checked out the latest t-shirts on offer.
