A lucky lottery ticket-holder from the UK won more than £45 million in Tuesday night’s EuroMillions draw.

According to UK National Lottery operator Camelot, the winner scooped a rollover jackpot of £45,160,170.50

A Camelot spokesman said: “We look forward to paying out this lucky ticket-holder, and of course have the champagne on ice.”

The winning EuroMillions numbers were: 15, 03, 17, 33 and 28 and the winning Lucky Star numbers were 2 and 4.

No one came forward to claim the money on Tuesday night, but the prize is seventh on the list of the largest jackpots ever to be won in the UK.

Gareth and Catherine Bull were the previous big UK winners when they claimed a huge £40,627,241 jackpot prize after matching the numbers from a Lucky Dip ticket with those drawn from the EuroMillions draw on January 20.

The biggest-ever EuroMillions prize was a £161 million jackpot won by Colin and Chris Weir from Scotland in 2011.

It is not yet known if the prize will go to a single ticket-holder or a syndicate, but if it is an individual winner, they will have a similar fortune to that of British actor Hugh Grant, who is listed on The Sunday Times Rich List 2011 as being worth £45 million.

Camelot’s spokesman added: “It is fantastic news to have another UK winner so soon after Gareth and Catherine Bull from Mansfield won £40 million.

“These big draws help raise the £30 million the National Lottery generates for Good Causes every week.”
