An £18,000 Ferrari replica luxury golf cart has gone on sale.

The F5 vehicle has been described by its maker as being “more like a sports car than a golf cart”.

Its extras include alloy wheels, a hard top and leather seats.

The luxury golf cart’s battery-powered motor can hit 32kph (20mph) and last for three rounds of golf.

“No one really needs an Italian sports car but life is sure better when you have one,” said John Pennington from the US-based company that creates the carts, Pennwick.

“It is the most exotic, desirable and simply awe inspiring luxury custom golf cart around with handling far superior to anything else.

“I am thrilled with how the F5 turned out. It is the best golf cart ever made.”

The F5 is inspired by the classic Ferarri Enzo – which costs around £1 million.

But if Ferrari isn’t really your style, there’s also Bentley and Rolls-Royce replicas available.

    Now that’s what I call luxury, lol… With a Porsche golf cart you’ll be the undisputed king of the links, even if you can’t put your way out of a paper bag.
