We recently profiled the highest paid ACTORS in Hollywood, but did you really think we were going to stop there?
While they have not made quite the same level of money as their male counterparts, actresses have made incredible gains over the years and the future looks bright for all established and aspiring stars. When you are ready to hire them for your award winning film, this is how much money you should set aside (and no, this kind of money won’t fit in your freezer or under your mattress).
So without further delay, here’s the list of highest paid actresses in 2010!

Sandra Bullock
What she makes: $56 Million
It’s hard to imagine that it’s been almost 17 years since she first charmed us in the action movie Speed. Sandra’s career has since taken us all over the map, through both smart moves (Crash) and terrible misfires (All About Steve) – in fact, her full filmography is not unlike a runaway bus with a bomb set to go off under it. But after her best actress Oscar win in 2010 for The Blind Side, it looks like she’s set for a little while.

Reese Witherspoon
What she makes: $32 Million
This woman indeed has staying power. She hasn’t had a bona fide critical hit since 2005’s Walk the Line, but she still commands a hefty paycheck for her movie appearances. She took a two-year break between Four Christmases in 2008 and this year’s How Do You Know (both duds), but has a slew of projects lined up for the future. It seems absence does indeed make the heart – and asking price – grow fonder.

Cameron Diaz
What she makes: $32 Million
Tied with Reese, Cameron Diaz is also a face we haven’t seen in a huge hit lately – if you don’t count her vocal appearance in the Shrek films. There’s something About Mary is a classic, and she showed off her skills in Being John Malkovich… but we don’t think Knight and Day and The Box have been fitting projects for her. She still pulls in the audiences though, and for that she must be rewarded.

Jennifer Aniston
What she makes: $27 Million
The only one to really make it out of Friends with a near bulletproof (or steamroller?) career, Jennifer Aniston has seen her fair share of success (Office Space) and failure (The Bounty Hunter). With Adam Sandler in the upcoming Just Go With It, will she finally break the $30 Million barrier? She’s witty, likable, cute and has been in the public conscious for such a long time – we think she deserves a better shot (and in general better projects).

Sarah Jessica Parker
What she makes: $25 Million
We understand she is a fashion icon, and was also the star of one of the most culturally significant TV series of our time (Sex and the City). Her movie choices like Did You Hear About the Morgans and Failure to Launch have not been as well-received, but she still earns quite a lot for any appearance that she makes. We applaud her but at the same time worry for her, as there are many others who are sneaking up the ladder.
Who nearly made our list? Perennial favorite Julia Roberts ($20 Million) didn’t quite make it into the top five this year, Angelina Jolie ($20 Million) is also struggling (if you can call it that) after modest returns for Salt and The Tourist, and Drew Barrymore ($15 Million) is doing well despite not having made a major hit in a while. Acting treasure Meryl Streep made about $13 Million last year, just $1 Million above vampire treasure Kristen Stewart whose Twilight series may entrench her on this list for quite some time.
