Rumours of rows over money and on-set catfights were laid to rest as the Sex And The City stars put on a glamorous and united front for the world premiere of Sex And The City 2 in New York.
But for the much-anticipated event, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis certainly wanted to make sure they weren’t outshone by their co-stars on the red carpet.
At the premiere of their long-awaited sequel, the fashionistas put in a show-stopping effort, but there was no doubting Sarah Jessica Parker was the star of the show in a hot lemon Valentino number in which she had quite clearly been practising her twirls in front of a mirror.
And while her choice of attire for the big night was deemed risky by fashion critics, Parker, 45, was applauded for her fashion bravery.
Speaking about her dress, the married mother-of-three said: “I cared about being presentable to that degree. I never want to embarrass my children or my family. It’s always lovely to get to borrow a beautiful dress.”
Kristin Davis also opted for a bright number, with a pink vintage Jean Desses dress. Kim Cattrall wore a gold Naeem Khan dress while co-star Cynthia Nixon played it safe in a black Carolina Herrera gown.
