Lamborghini unveiled its all-new lightweight, topless Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante at this year’s Los Angeles Motor Show.

Taking the top-spec Gallardo Superleggera as its base, the Italian carmaker’s engineers have created the ultimate in “wind-in-the-hair” experiences.

Three years after it burst onto the supercar scene, Audi has unveiled the R8 GT, the most hardcore version of its four-wheel-drive supercar yet.

Lighter, harder and faster than the standard R8 V10, the GT will be ready to take on the likes of the Porsche 911 GT3 and Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera when it is released in the UK early next year.
