A Manhattan restaurant’s $69 hot dog has been declared the world’s most expensive hot dog by the Guinness World Records.
Restaurant Serendipity 3, which also holds the record for the world’s most expensive ice-cream sundae at $1,000 and the largest hot chocolate at four gallons (15 litres), set its latest record on Friday – National Hot Dog Day in the US.

Measuring just six inches high, the world’s most expensive pineapple was grown in Cornwall in a glasshouse heated by horse manure.
But while the tiny fruit – cultivated in the pineapple pit at the Lost Gardens of Heligan – may be half the size of the average supermarket pineapple, it carries a much larger than average estimated price tag of £10,000, which covers labour costs, equipment – and urine-soaked hay.

A violin made by expert Italian craftsman Guarneri del Gesù has gone on sale for $18 million, a sale price that would make it the world’s most expensive musical instrument.
The Vieuxtemps Guarneri, which was made in 1741, three years before the craftsman’s death, has been put up for sale in Chicago through one of the world’s leading traders in rare violins, Bein & Fushi.

The world’s most expensive men’s suit is set to go on sale for almost £600,000 in what has been billed as the “ultimate in luxury fashion”, according to its British designer.
The custom-made suit, made with cashmere wool, silk and diamonds, took more than 600 hours to produce.
