Kate Middleton’s wedding dress has helped raise a massive £10 million in admission ticket sales as a record number of visitors paid to see it at Buckingham Palace.
A total of 626,678 people paid to see the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress, tiara, earrings and shoes at Buckingham Palace during the 73-day summer opening, a 52 per cent increase in visitors over the previous year, according to The Telegraph.

A rare pink diamond has been sold for $17.4 million at auction, after just six minutes of bidding, in Hong Kong.
Auction house Christie’s stated the diamond – the biggest of its kind ever to be sold – was bought by an anonymous telephone bidder, according to the BBC.

The world’s largest distiller, Diageo, has announced it will sell 60 decanters of limited-edition Scotch whisky to commemorate 60 years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign in 2012 – at £100,000 each.
According to Diageo, the “Diamond Jubilee Blended Scotch Whisky by John Walker & Sons” is a blend of whiskies distilled in 1952, partially aged in a cask made from oak trees grown at Sandringham in the UK.
