Rock band Bon Jovi’s The Circle tour was the highest-earning tour of 2010, earning a massive $201.1m worldwide, according to music trade publication Pollstar.

Australian rock band AC/DC was number two on the list of highest-earners for the second year in a row, with tickets sales from their recent Black Ice tour amounting to $177m.

U2 frontman Bono has had emergency spinal surgery after suffering an injury he sustained while preparing for the band’s tour dates.

The 50-year-old musician was treated at a specialist neurosurgery clinic in Munich and is expected to stay there for a number of days.
